Abbasiyah, April 18- ‘Ain Shams Civillization Conference’ ended with a glittering event last night with performances from 12 countries. Nevertheless, the outstanding martial art performance and ‘Magunatip’ dance by the Malaysian participants managed to get the third place.

Prof Madya Dr Su’aidi bin Hj Dato ‘Hj Safei, representative of Education Malaysia Egypt (EME) also attended the opening ceremony on the first day to show his full support to the students.

The program which began on April 14th taken part by most of the members of PERUBATAN Ain Shams Chapter particularly proved that they feel as a part of the people’s family here in Egypt.

All participating countries were given the opportunity to open a booth and hold an exhibition to promote their respective countries. They tried to convey their traditions and cultures in different forms such as books, clothes and food.


When one of the Egyptian students approached last night, she expressed her happiness to be able to participate and host the program. She also praised the efforts of the university and embassy in making the program a success.

” I am grateful for having the opportunity to know the existence of other foreign students as well as knowing different cultures of each country and Egypt itself,” commented Nor Farah Ain bt Safie, Ain Shams second year student.
